I love this place! Quality pub grub, brilliant service, beautiful outdoor space, cider in the sunshine, live music vibes on the weekend and not overpriced. Portions are massive - my and my friend ordered the same dish each and in reality if we had shared we would of been full.

The Lockkeeper is located on the Bath Rd between Willsbridge and Keynsham, right on the river. There is a massive outside space with plenty of seating, and for the colder days there are lots of seats in the conservatory.

The menu is comprehensive, offering such classics as breaded brie, calamari, chicken ham and leek pie, amazing and massive salads and Sunday roasts.

My friend and I popped in on a sunny autumn afternoon when it was still warm enough to sit outside. It was busy but not so busy that we couldn't get a nice seat outside. We grabbed a menu from the bar and chose our food at our leisure. It was order at the bar so my friend popped in to order whilst I relaxed in the sunshine (what a good friend... she is heavily pregnant too so I did feel a bit guilty!)

When the food arrived it was MASSIVE! Very generous portions indeed, but we were pretty hungry so both of us were relieved. Unfortunately they don't bring any cutlery out with the food so I sent pregnant friend in again (I know, I am a bad friend but I love her really, I am helping her keep fit!)

There was food and chat a plenty and we had a really lovely lunch in the sunshine with the beautiful green space around us. We both love reading tarot cards so got a few odd but fascinated look when we started doing readings for each other. Some lovely ladies next to us asked us a few questions - mostly to find out if tarot reading was scary - to which we reassured them it most certainly was not, it was generally an interesting bit of fun that can be used to get your head around certain situations or guide you through important decisions.

Some girls near us ordered the halloumi salad and I got massive food envy and wished I had ordered that, but its a perfect excuse to go back again as soon as possible!

I have been here a few times for a relaxed cold cider in the summer sunshine and I totally love it here, could be talked into going anytime!
