Well I have to say I love Betterfood Company as an organic supermarket, they have so much choice and offer a range of organic fruit and veg too. On the other hand I am not so sure about the cafe!

The seating is situated so that you are either by the front door, with folks constantly coming in and out, flinging the door open or closed and having loud conversations with you, or you are sat underneath the till. By the till you have the shopping being scanned and chucked into boxes or a bored cashier drumming their fingers by your head! Being a person that is easily irritated I struggled to maintain my cool....

However they do offer wifi, so if you fancy a quick working lunch or an afternoon tea and cake and you are going to be plugged into your laptop or on your mobile you probably won't care about these things. I was trying the read The Bell Jar and, whilst the protagonist was being sectioned, I started to think maybe I wouldn't be too far behind!

Food wise there are some nice choices of salads, pizza slices, quiches and other items that can be served hot or cold. They also have a daily soup served with thick bread. The soup is usually very tasty but often pretty watery and the bread is only toasted if you ask but you are given lashings of creamy yummy butter to slather all over it.

I followed my soup with a lush cherry and marzipan slice and it was YUMMY! It was very sweet and I could of done with only having half of it, but I forced it down all the same, washed down with their delicious strong milky latte.

In summary great for a working lunch or a quick supermarket pit stop but not if you are trying to relax with a classic novel.
