Goodness gracious me! What an AMAZING place to go to eat at on a warm summers evening. This new restaurant is the new baby of the Sanchez Brothers. Opened overlooking the Bathurst Basin underneath the old General Hospital which is currently undergoing development into overpriced apartments.
We were lucky enough to bag an outdoor table overlooking the marina on a balmy summers evening. the waiter was friendly and attentive without being over friendly and the food and drinks all came out nice and quickly.
The menu is simple; around 5 pizza choices, some sides and one choice of ice cream for dessert. The drinks menu is also uncomplicated and include some classic cocktails. For food I chose the margherita and my friends chose meat options - Lamb, courgette, blue cheese and rosemary and a meat feast.
The pizza sauce was traditional tomato with a real Italian taste and the dough was melt in the mouth with a well risen deliciously burnt crust. The meat feast was generously adorned with 'Artisan cured meats' while the lamb pizza had no tomato sauce but was enjoyed greatly by my friend who was the first to finish.
For drinks I chose the Bellini cocktail which was refreshing and delicious followed by prosecco.
The ice cream dessert was a delight! Mr Whippy style ice cream with a strawberry sauce and basil leaves - my friend even tried to lick the glass.
The prices are reasonable as well - we spent about £25 each with olives, a pizza, dessert and drinks.
Was so lovely sitting outside too, my only gripe would be that the benches are pretty uncomfortable had a numb derriere by dessert.
Would definitely come again and highly recommend.
